EF Challenge — Flexibilty

by Laurie Moore Skillings, SCAC

Flexibility is the ability to revise plans in the face of obstacles, setbacks, new information, or mistakes.  It involves adaptability to changing conditions.

When a person has difficulties with flexibility, it may be hard to:

think of new ways to approach a problem if the first way doesn’t work

wait their turn

change plans at the last minute

transition from one environment to another

deal with disappointments

tolerate when someone else doesn’t follow the rules when playing a game
